SCHOOL UNIFORM

Parents generally seem to welcome the idea of wearing uniform and Midsomer Norton uniform is considered smart and distinctive. We sell items, such as PE Kits, yellow polo shirts, V-neck sweaters and cardigans (with the school logo) directly from school, and other uniform items such as trousers and pinafores are stocked in larger stores in Bath.
We ask parents to uphold our uniform policy and maintain the high standards for which our school is known. If you have any difficulty affording uniform at any time, please see me in confidence, as we may be able to help.

Winter Uniform.

Girls: Dark brown skirt or pinafore or trousers (tailored), yellow polo shirt, brown sweater or cardigan with school logo, brown or cream tights or socks, flat black or brown shoes (no trainers, please).

Boys: Dark brown trousers, yellow polo shirt, brown sweater with school logo, brown or black shoes (no trainers, please).

We also sell brown jogging trousers for the comfort of the Reception age girls and boys. 

Girls' Summer Uniform.

Summer Uniform.

Girls: Yellow and white gingham or striped dress, white socks, brown cardigan, brown sandals or shoes. Girls may also wear brown tailored shorts and yellow polo shirt in summer if they prefer this to a dress.

Boys: Brown shorts (tailored) or trousers, yellow polo shirt (with collar), brown sweater, brown or black shoes or sandals.

PE Kit.

PE Kit, to be kept in a drawstring bag, consists of brown cotton shorts and yellow polo shirt or T shirt, black elasticated daps / plimsolls. A jogging suit is required for cold weather, and trainers may be provided for outside use.

Jewellery.
Please do not allow children to wear jewellery to school, this includes neck chains, rings and earrings. Plain studs are accepted for pierced ears - but not encouraged. Earrings must not be worn for PE. They will need to be removed or covered with plasters before school.

School Bags.
It is fashionable for children to bring very large sports bags to school and this causes us some problems. There is limited space in the cloakrooms, making it difficult to hang both large bags and coats on the pegs. Please keep bags to a sensible size.
